"September C. Fawkes' class on story structure is better than craft books, and blogs and recorded conference sessions, even though many of them are fabulous too. September guides her students, step by step, sends out homework and replies with screeds of comments. I started the course with a good clear idea of the first act, and then I was totally lost. Now I have clarity. This course is great and September is so enthusiastic and knowledgeable, the only reason you’ll regret doing it is if you also just had a baby and decided to learn German, Italian and Estonian, at the same time as renovating a house. You need to clear time to do the course to get the best out of it."

"This class was amazing. While I haven’t done a similar online writing class, I’ve taken creative writing classes in college and at local writing organizations, and worked with a writing group for years. I have a PhD in English and have been writing novels since I was a child but the plots and storylines just never seemed to click into place. I found September’s blog when searching for help on why the pacing in my current work in progress just didn’t feel right. At the time I was completely unfamiliar with her and her work and I was hesitant to spend a chunk of money on something so unknown, but it was 1000% worth it.
