I strongly believe in supporting creators you like. Sometimes the support comes as an online share or review. Sometimes it's tweeting them to say thanks. Other times it's financial. Once at a convention, I saw a piece of art that literally made me stop in my tracks.

I didn't buy it.

And I thought about that all night.

I'd talked to the artist, and she'd come to Salt Lake all the way from Canada just to sell her art. And I knew those booths weren't cheap.

I realized that if she had asked me to donate $25 so that she could keep creating art, I would have done it in a heartbeat. So why didn't I buy the art? (Maybe because I already have a lot!)

Luckily, I had time to go back and get a print.

I don't make money directly off my blog. Every week I spend 4 - 7 hours on it. That's $108 - $189 I could have made in editing work. I haven't ever asked for donations in the past, but as I become busier and busier in my career, it has become more difficult to maintain this place. Don't worry, I don't plan on stopping any time soon, but I thought I would add this page in case anyone who liked what I did, did want to donate. No pressure.

Whether it's a dollar or more, you can donate to me through Paypal at (note that Paypal does take a cut) or on Venmo at

I also use Amazon affiliate links and make a modest commission off anything you buy when you click through them. Here is one to one of my favorite writing books. And here is one to another that I recommend all writers buy.

Recently, I started making handouts, worksheets, exercises, and workbooks, for sale on TpT. Visit my shop page to learn more.

If you like what I do, you can also support me by sharing my blog, articles, or editing website with others. And if you haven't already, you can follow me on social media.

Thanks for showing interest!
